Our experiences of the past year have been much different than anyone might have expected. We have shifted our lives in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. Everyone has shifted ministries, home life, school, work and recreational activities. The creativity has been phenomenal and the challenges have been just as notable.
In the midst of it all God has been present and at work in our lives. Many times over I have reminded the children and youth that when we see loving kindness we are seeing God at work. God works in and through all of creation and especially through people of faith. We are called to be a part of that work.
Faith Formation grows and expands when we engage our faith. In other words, when we act in response to the faith we have in Christ. As followers of Jesus we are called to love God and neighbor deeply and fully. How we do that is expressed uniquely in each person and group of people.
Together we have faced a pandemic and continue to discover what it means to be God's people in this time and place. As we move toward healing with the growing availability of vaccinations, I pray that we can continue to be open to new and creative ways to grown in our faith.
Peace, Deacon Nancy
